We Heart Cookies

The kids and I made Valentines Day cookies yesterday and had lots of fun decorating them.

Note to self: Do not turn mixer on when there are 3 cups of sifted powdered sugar in the bowl...

Happy VD everyone!

You are such a show off. (Yep, this is the guilt of not doing these activities that my kids love coming through...:))
They look yummy! Bravo

ah well, at least you added the flour. at the age of 11 or 12 my friend and i decided to make a batch of cookies of which we left out 3 cups of flour. (she was talking on the friend to a boy and it really distracted us!!) anyhow, we baked them up and they really turned out to make a wonderous cereal. isn't that right, elias? he loved that!!

Sorry You-You - I did NOT utilize the sacred recipe you shared with me. I knew I needed thicker 'cardboard-style' butter cookies to withstand the mountains of frosting and sprinkles my kids assault them with...

I was thinking for St. Patricks day I would make your recipe, just cut-out circles and dust them with yellow sprinkles. Get it? (The gold coins in the pot at the end of the rainbow?? - too much of a stretch?)

no i get it. and i don't think it's too much. and i'm not worried about you not using the secret recipe. i am worried about the VD comment. and i am worried about you advertising the existence of a secret recipe!!
